SHARP AQUOS SECURITY ALERT FEATURE
Security Alert Feature
The security alert emits a loud alarm sound to notify those around, while automatically contact guardians.
Parents can be informed of any abnormal situation involving their child, even from a distance, via phone or SMS.
Shake the device to activate the alert.
The alert can be triggered by shaking the device, even while it is in a bag, allowing for quick operation.
How to Use

Shake the device firmly for about 5 seconds as shown in the video
- The device can detect motion even while in a bag
- For effective activation, place the device in a location within the bag where it is less likely to move

Once motion is detected, a countdown begins.
- Press "Sound Now" during the countdown to trigger the alert.
- If the alert is accidentally activated, it can be stopped by pressing "Cancel".

The alert sound will play, and a call will be made automatically to the registered emergency contact along with a location information SMS.
- The alert can be stopped by pressing "Stop Alert" while it is sounding.
Test the alert
Press "Sound Alert" to hear the alert
- ※ Note: The alert sound lasts about 4 seconds. Please be mindful of the volume.
- You can register up to 3 emergency contacts
- When the alert is triggered, an automatic call and location SMS will be sent to the first emergency contact
- ※ Only to the first emergency contact
Practice
To ensure proper operation in emergencies, practice shaking the device while adjusting sensitivity settings.
Go to［Settings］→［AQUOS Tricks］→［Junior Mode］→［Security alert］→［Security alert settings］→［Try it]
- Please practice activating the alert by shaking the device, imagining an emergency situation. Ensure that it does not activate during everyday movements.
- If the device does not respond as expected, or if it responds too frequently, please adjust the sensitivity settings and try again.

You can also activate the alert by touching the screen

Tips
If you want to share your current location, there is a messaging feature to send location information. This is useful when you want to inform someone of your current location when visiting an unfamiliar place or to notify them upon arrival at your destination. The location-sharing message feature can also be set to send when the battery is low or when the device is powered off, ensuring that your last known location is transmitted even when you become unreachable.
Usage Precautions
- The security alert sound will always ring at maximum volume, regardless of settings like silent mode.
- Enabling "Activate Alert by Shaking" allows the device to detect specific vibrations. Depending on the situation, it may falsely trigger the alert due to unintended vibrations. In such cases, adjust the sensitivity setting to "Low". If the issue persists, disable the shake activation and use the alert via the widget instead.
- When placing the device in a bag, it may be difficult to trigger the alert depending on the bag's shape and where the device is placed. Use "Try It" to confirm activation.
- It is recommended to check the screen-based security alert function as well.
- To send location information, "Use Location" must be turned ON. If "Use Location" is OFF, location information cannot be sent.
- If you are using both a nanoSIM card and an eSIM, please set which SIM will be used for calls and SMS. If you have set your SIM for calls to "Ask Every Time", automatic calling will not occur.
- If location usage settings are OFF, location information cannot be sent. Please check that "Use Location" is ON in [Settings] → [Location].
- While in international roaming, automatic calls and SMS will not be sent when the security alert is triggered.
- If the function to automatically send location information upon power off is ON, there may be a delay in acquiring location information, in which case only a message will be sent indicating that the power has been turned off.
